The 2014 Kansas City Chiefs
Looking to the offense, the quarterback position is going to be crucial in 2014. Matt Cassel performed effectively in 2009, at least as effectively as the talent around him allowed. Cassel is a big quarterback which gives him the ability to see the field and he has the strength to get the ball into deep coverage. His mobility is good, giving him a shot at evading the rush and maybe gaining yardage on the ground. But Cassel took a beating behind a poor offensive line and took 42 sacks. The up side is that you can bank on Charlie Weiss giving him better protection in 2014 and Cassel should up his stats accordingly.
What 2009 really did for the Kansas City Chiefs was give them a chance to discover Jamaal Charles. Dumping Larry Johnson allowed Charles to get more playing time and it paid off in spades. Over the course of the last eight games Jamaal Charles racked up almost 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns. Using his natural quickness to evade tacklers and his speed to burst through the line, Charles also excels as a pass catcher. He’s the complete package but will need some relief, so the Chiefs signed ex-jets running back Thomas Jones to be the pounder. Jones had 1,400+ yards last season and still has plenty of gas left in the tank. The combination of these two, along with improved play from Matt Cassel, makes Kansas City Chiefs tickets the dark horse in the AFC West race.

 For 2014 A few teams stand out as going to the Super Bowl, the San Diego Chargers, the New England Patriots, the New Orleans Saints, and the Atlanta Falcons. They all seem to have made key changes to effect their game for the positive. Out of those four, the Patriots and the Falcons really have honed in to what they needed to accomplish over the off season, and so they will be in the Super Bowl.
